The 16^th International Conference of Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR 2013) Montpellier, France

The International Conference of Near InfraRed Spectroscopy is held every 2 years.

After the NIR 2011 in Cape Town, South Africa, in May 2011, the 16^th conference will be held in Montpellier (Grande Motte) from 3 to 7 June 2013 !

Ondalys participates to this oragnization with the Irstea (Pr. Véronique Bellon-Maurel, president of ICNIRS2013) and various other institutes (CIRAD, AgroParisTech, CRA-W, ...).

Ondalys organizes the pre-conference courses, on Sunday, the 2^nd of June 2013. These courses will cover different topics such as the basis of Near Infrared Spectroscopy, the implementation of hyperspectral imaging, chemometrics on spectrocopic data or PAT (Process Analytical Technology).

Workshop Process Analytical Technology (PAT), Paris, France - March, 21^st 2013

Bonsaï/ASDi, INDATECH and Ondalys organize a comprehensive workshop on
Process Analytical Technology (PAT) for industrial eager to optimize their process control.

This is a key subject for a number of industries such as the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, cosmetics, agrofood, petrochemical domains, etc...

This workshop day will be dedicated to applied science, with communication on PAT basics, equipments and data processing, as well as round table with companies sharing their experience on PAT implementation.

Ondalys will show how multivariate data analysis (chemometrics) meets the requirement of PAT (Process Analytical Technolgy) and QbD (Quality By Design) with Design of Experiments (DoE).

Since the beginning of 2012, Ondalys and Véolia Environment Research and Innovation (VERI) collaborate within VIA Framework program (Véolia Innovation Accelerator). This R&D collaboration aims at co-developing Flash BMP^® solution, a fast measurement of the Biochemical Methane Potential (BMP) for all kinds of substrates.

Ondalys relies on 4 years of research carried out by 3 French public research institutes (EMA, Irstea, INRA), in particular on a cooperation with the Environmental Biotechnologies Laboratory (LBE) of INRA.

Veolia Environnement Recherche et Innovation has developed, since 2009, R&D and industrial actions related with the Near Infrared Spectroscopy. Several projects are currently undergoing internally in VEOLIA.

To derive a commercial solution, common research and development are currently carried out by Ondalys and VERI. This cooperation will lead to the release of Flash BMP^®, a fast and reliable measurement solution of BMP, based on near-infrared spectroscopy. This solution will be implemented within Véolia Environmental Services facilities and commercialized exclusively by Ondalys.

In only one flash, the spectroscopy is able to measurement numerous parameters simultaneously. Thus, other constituents are pending. This approach of R&D cooperation leading to fast measurement solutions based on spectroscopy is a consistent part of Ondalys development strategy.

Spectroscopic Measurements in Anaerobic Digestion

Spectroscopic measurements related to anaerobic digestion have drastically grown in importance during the last years.

The Luxembourg Research Centre, Gabriel Lippmann, in collaboration with the European Network for Spectroscopy in Anaerobic Digestion (ENSAD),  organized a one-day conference focusing on recent progress made in spectroscopic measurements to help the monitoring of the anaerobic digestion process.

This conference SPECTROMAD was held in Belvaux, Luxembourg, on the 1st of June 2012. All the presentations are available on the ENSAD website.

At this occasion, Ondalys presented, together with Veolia Environnement Recherche et Innovation (VERI), the  Flash-BMP® solution, a novel NIR method for fast BioMethane Potential assessment.

SPectroscopies for the Evaluation and ConTrol in Real time of biological cells physiological statE (2011-2013)

In cell culture bioprocess frameworks, the collaborative project SPECTRE studies biological variables for on-line quantification of the physiological state and activity of micro-organisms.

The main goal of SPECTRE is to develop an on-line system which provides real-time measurements of the state of micro-organisms during fermentation and cell culture environments. The outcome will provide improved understanding of cell metabolism and the ability to control cell cultures growth.

The project is based on the coupling of two innovative technologies for on-line measurements and laboratory baseline measurements to confirm on-line information and data treatment.

To achieve this project, Ondalys collaborates with 3 French Bioprocess Engineering academic teams ( IATE – UM2 ,  LRPG , LISBP) and 3 Mexican ones ( CIATEJ , ITV,  IPICYT ).
